New fiber optic fiber has shown fantastic speeds

A team of Japanese engineers from the National Institute of Information and Technology (NICT) has developed an innovative optical fiber that was able to transmit a data volume more than twenty times higher than the entire global Internet traffic in one second.
One petabit is a million gigabits, that is, the development of the Japanese is so fast that it allows you to transmit all the every-second Internet traffic 22 times, and at the same time the network load will not even be full. It is noted that even the American space agency NASA transmission speed is estimated at only 0.046 petabits per second.

To achieve this result in NICT involved new promising technologies. Instead of using a single core for data transmission, their cable includes 38, each of which is capable of transmitting in three modes over 114 space channels. It is noted that each of these, in turn, has 750 channels in three different bands.
